KPN has started a new pillar in its services: KPN SmartLife. Under this name KPN will offer a series of so-called Connected Home services: services that make life easier in and around the house.
The first step in the KPN SmartLife series is a KPN SmartLife Safe user test: a security solution for people at home. With this new service, customers receive an alarm via an app if something happens at home. KPN started the pilot this week.
KPN SmartLife Secure
KPN SmartLife Safe works easily. In the event of an unwanted situation, the customer receives an alarm message. KPN is working with security company Trigion for alarm monitoring. KPN also works together with Philips. In this way, the innovative hue lamps can be linked to the alarm and can also be controlled remotely with the KPN SmartLife app.
KPN SmartLife Safe can be used by anyone who has a broadband internet connection at home, regardless of which provider. The app only requires a smartphone or tablet.
Pilot
More than 150 selected customers will test and help optimize the service in the coming period. KPN SmartLife Safe is available for everyone this fall.
